peeta or pita (transcription)

Ava: Mmmmm, (verbal filler) I’ve got ‘peeta’ bread for lunch, yay! (verbal filler)

Emily: ‘Pita’ bread!

Ava: Nooo, ‘peeta   =unusal spelling) bread.

Emily: It’s not ‘peeta’ bread.

Ava: Yeees!(repeated vowel)

Ruby: Do we say, whad, whad do New Zealanders say?

Ava: ‘pe’, ‘peta’ (Emily: pita)

Ava: Nooo! (repeated vowel)

Ruby: ‘peeta’.

Emily: ‘pita’.

Ruby:  Oh, p, ‘pita’s kinda ( merged words)weird Emily.

Emily: it’s ‘pi’, no, it’s Ava: Yeah, its like (talking at the same time). yeah it’s like ‘peta’, it’s not ‘peeta

Ava: You say, you say ‘baysil’.

Ruby: Yeeeeesssss! (repeated vowel) It sounds Ava: No it’s basil (talking at the same time).  so much better

Emily: No, but that would be “Bayyyyyyyyyyysil”(repeated vowel) Ruby: No, no (talking at the same time).

Ava: Don’t you say, pasta?(interrigitave)

Emily: No! Paaasta.(repeated vowel)

Ruby: I say paaaasta. (repeated vowel)

Ava: Ok, good.

Emily: My Dad says grass.

Ava: (evil choke laugh).

Ruby:  (chuckles)

Emily: I’m gonna (merged words) mow the grass, and,

Ruby: Graaasss (repeated vowel)

Emily: Let’s do, let’s um,(verbal filler) let’s draw a graph.

Ruby: A graph

Ava: No its, Emily: No it’s graaaaaph (talking at the same time and repeated vowel)

Ruby: Oh no!

Ava: I say, graph.

Ruby: I say graph too.

Emily: It’s not GRAPH, that’s so naff.(slang)

Ruby: Graaaaph (repeated vowel) is just so.. Emily: GRAPH,(emphisis and talking at the same time)Rubyya (unusal spelling) know. Emily: GRAPH (emphisis and talking at the same time)Ruby:english.

Emily: Peeeeta,(repeated vowel) peeta no, it’s Ava: Yes (talking at the same time) no you don’t say we’er getting peeta pit for lunch.

Ava and Ruby: yeah you do!
